Each one of a kind KrisChris bag is lovingly crafted by me in my home studio.  I begin with a sewing pattern that I love and have tested and use myself every day.  From there it’s all about function and design.  A bag has to be durable enough to stand up to your busy life and beautiful enough to feel like a special treasure to carry with you.  I analyze each one to create a visually balanced and fun look with the right amount of pockets and swivel snaps to make it as useful as possible.  My mission is to merge the quirky and fun with functional and beautiful for everyday use.  

I buy my materials from small businesses in small batches to limit waste and ensure that my end products are completely one of a kind.  One of my favorite parts of the design phase is choosing special coordinating linings that will be tucked inside the bags.  Each one feels like a hidden secret to make you smile when you grab what you need.  A little funny animal or beautiful mushroom detail has been sewn behind a zipper, just for you. 

My grandma was such a big part of my life growing up.  She always told me to never gift a bag to someone without some money in it, so I sneak a shiny good luck penny into every bag I sell in honor of her.  Similarly, each bag style I sell is named after a woman in my life who is special to me.  (Check out the product description notes on how I chose the names of each one.)
