This modern twist on the traditional Japanese Komebukuro bag, which were used to carry rice offerings to the temple during religious ceremonies. These bags can still be used to store rice or any number of things that you choose. Whether for storing yarn, cosmetics, or a decorative spot on the bookshelf in your home or for your own special gift wrap for a friend. Each bag I sew is unique and the only one of it’s kind and designed to delight it’s owner for years to come.

Who Is This Bag Named After?

This bag is named Pat, after my dear babysitter from when I was only a few weeks old. She was a crafting genius and instilled in me the absolute delight of making things with my hands. There is no doubt that my insatiable craftiness started with her and was fueled by her throughout my childhood into adulthood.

How should I care for my bag?

Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap when necessary. A lint roller can remove small debris and lint. Waxed canvas should not be machine washed or dry cleaned and should be kept away from hot water and harsh detergents that will remove the wax coating (which maintains water resistance).

Who made this bag?

This bag is cut and sewn with love by me in my home studio; usually while my kids are at school while the dog is under my feet and with chill tunes playing in the background, or the latest episode of one of my Bravo shows. :)
What's more, each bag is 100% one of a kind, the only one like it in the world. Some of my bags will be sewn from the same pattern or structure, but I’ve never sewn a bag the exact same way twice.

What if my bag breaks or something goes wrong?

I’m so glad you asked! I’ve crafted your bag with my hands and my machines and the nicest materials I can find, but I’m human and things happen! I stand by my KrisChris bags and want you to feel confident about your purchase.
